HUMANITARIAN projects vs. procrastinating tax payers. . ..

In many of the Ward's we've attended I either get involved in Humanitarian Projects or head up those callings.  There was always a great deal of satisfaction and feelings of love and fellowship when doing so.  There were infant layettes donated to hospitals for a new Mother to dress her baby in that passed away. Knitted hats, booties and soft blankets given to local hospitals for their new babies.  Eagle Projects for countries that needed good books, school supplies, clothing, food, hygiene kits for fire and natural diaster victims.  Now we can go online if we wish and find our own individual or family humanitarian project.  The last women's conference was all about "no more stranger's" in regards to the refugees flooding in due to wars.  We have the Humanitarian Fund, the Perpetual Education Fund, the Welfare Fund, the Missionary Fund all good causes and all we have taken active roles in.  I was just thinking yesterday, to be honest.  It's "Tax Season" and it's coming to a close shortly but there are always so many who just don't do things in a timely manner and don't seem to mind that they will have penalties and interest.  My thought was, suppose all the people who seem to always procrastinate getting their taxes done, even knowing that tax time comes around at the same time EVERY YEAR.  Why don't they not procrastinate and donate the average of what they normally pay in penalties and interest to one of these worthy humanitarian projects to help their brothers and sisters in severe need.  Just a thought.  Does it apply to any of my followers?
