Since I was 10, other than when my hubby and I were out of the country. I've spent the 4th up at Momma's cabin in Greer. This 4th we were headed nowhere but I wanted something to be special so I did a Theme Dinner for just my hubby and me. I was in the mood for a good crab pot so I had fun getting placemats, dishes ect. to carry out the theme (much cheaper when buying stuff for two to celebrate, just not as much fun). Rosco celebrated with us due to surgery.

The fun came in as many forms as follows: We decorated, made "family flags", held family olympics, made welcome signs for another family coming to be with us, we made forts, zip lines, targets for shooting arrows into hay bails, went fishing, all ran out to welcome Momma when she came up for a day, made veiled threats when loft full of "hot lava" players, read books in the reading loft, played all sorts of games, visited haunted abandoned cabins, held fish frys, horseback riding, picking wild flowers in nearby meadows, rockhoppin', attended our Sunday Meetings and actually stayed for all three hours if one of the locals said "hi" to one of us, held cousin talent shows, caught up on children's yearly school albums, scrapbooked, sewed, read scriptures and held story hours around the fireplace at night, hiked trails, biked trails, went spotlighting for animals at night, had great cook-outs, and I could go on and on. . . . . .
