"MEXICAN FOOD THEME DINNER". . .

As anybody who reads this blog knows I love to decorate around the Theme Dinner's I am creating.  There isn't a person in our whole family who isn't crazy about Mexican Food it stems back on my branch of the family tree.  I was raised on good ole Jordan's at least once a week since as far back as I can remember.  Even before my father passed away at the age of 53 I would go to Jordan's to lunch with him, Momma and our first born LaNell every day during the week because I "worked" for them in their construction office in their home.  Later Momma owned a janitorial supply store which had a little Mexican Food place housed in the owners former home.  It became the gathering place whenever Momma called and said I'm off to "Los".  I mean her kids, grandkids and great's came out of the woodwork from every direction in Maricopa County.  It didn't hurt that she always insisted on paying the bill.
Sooo for "Cinco de Mayo" since it came close to our "Grand" Taylors birth I was in California at LaNell and Trevor's and I decided to have a fun Mexican Food Dinner and decorate accordingly.  It was so fun that wherever we are on "Cinco de Mayo" I hold a dinner with decor to match.  It was always fun to look up different dishes for the day.  Last year I was in Utah and held a "Cinco de Mayo" in our son Billy and Karen's home for their kids.  They have a huge kitchen table so I got the three color's of the Mexico Flag in plastic picnic tablecloths and made a flag out of them on their table for their tablecloth to go with the cloth napkins I made. I Purchased mexican decor and served 7 layer dip, chips, tostados, taco's etc. and soda's.  It was so fun that they've asked for it again this year.
